Made to Order Each instrument created in the shop of Juan Pablo Mijares is an original handmade instrument.  Instruments made by Mr. Mijares are used by professional musicians and serious students across the country and even in Europe.  The methods and tools employed in construction are very much the same as were used by Antonio Stradivarius, and the other great Italian masters approximately 300 years ago in Cremona, Italy.  None but the finest seasoned European woods are used to fashion the body and neck of the instrument.  Only by carefully hand bending, carving and shaping can the instrument be brought to its full potential both visually and tonally.  There are simply certain qualities of beauty, warmth, richness and response which can only be achieved through this type of traditional, quality, hand craftsmanship and experience.
