Mijares Violins is a lutherie in the finest Cremonese tradition; combining the skill and artistry to create the finest of stringed instruments with the highest quality professional services in repair, restoration, appraisal, sales and resale, supplies, and services for the southern Colorado string community.
Whether your needs are those of a beginning student, accomplished performer or serious collector, it is our goal to support and enhance your musical experience. We hope to create a cultural center for the string-playing population and to become involved with local community music organizations. Valuation of Instruments
Mijares Violins offers expert valuation of your violin family instruments. Instruments must be brought into the shop for appraisal. In order for the appraisal to be accurate, we must see the violin. Pictures and verbal or written descriptions do not give enough information.
Made to Order Instruments
Each instrument created in the shop of Juan Pablo Mijares is an original handmade instrument. Instruments made by Mr. Mijares are used by professional musicians and serious students across the country and even in Europe.
Bow & Instrument Repair
Whether you need your bow rehaired, a tune up or major restoration, we can help you out. Mr. Mijares has extensive experience restoring instruments to their best state.
